My name is Christy Coletta, and I am a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. My healing journey started in 2018 when I heard those three words no one ever wants to hear: “You Have Cancer.” Stage 1 breast cancer, to be exact.
I was blessed with some amazing doctors on this journey, but after an incredible amount of synchronicity and lots of Divine Intervention, I ended up meeting with a world-renowned doctor in Sedona, AZ. I had chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, and months of reconstruction work to get my body healed. But this doctor understood the need for not only physical healing but emotional, mental and spiritual healing as well. Mind, Body, and Spirit needed to heal together.
It was through this process that I was introduced to Reiki, and shortly thereafter, was called to become a Practitioner. In late 2019 I obtained my Level 2 certification.
Since then, I have had 2 additional surgeries related to my original diagnosis. I spent the last two and a half years healing myself and sharing Reiki with family members. Before I could start my Reiki practice, however, I felt called to open a little retail shop called The Unknown Path; named for the fact that I was just following my intuition and messages from Spirit, with no idea where this journey was taking me. My hope was, and is, to raise awareness and share the importance of healing in all aspects of our lives.
My time in Sedona showed me how important access to items such as healing books, healing crystals, and energy cleansers like sage and palo santo is. So, I now sell what I refer to as “tools of healing and joy.” I incorporate those items in my own ongoing healing sessions and plan to do so in my Practice.
So, that brings us to present day when Divine Intervention brought me to Eight Lotus Wellness and the opportunity to start my Reiki Practice! I am extremely excited to be able to share the amazing relaxation and healing effects of Reiki with others!
