Cristina Marie Navaretta was a daughter, sister, healer, friend, teacher, and yogi. She traveled the world for the past 10 years of her 38 soaking in knowledge from various masters with a deep study of the Krishnamacharya Lineage, Ashtanga, Tantra, Restorative, and Yin.
She was extensively trained in a variety of healing modalities ranging from Thai Massage, Yoga Therapy, Shamanic Healing and Meditation to Breathwork for Trauma Release and Yoga Nidra. Her life journey was one of self healing and her passion was to inspire others to apply their practice on and off the mat, connecting with themselves. She often ended her classes with this song during Savasana, challenging others to recognize that whatever they are searching for, exists within.
Om Mani Padme Om was one of her favorite mantras; its literal translation, “the jewel is in the lotus” is a metaphor for the paradox that defined her life and all of our own. It is only through the struggle and hardship of our existence that we find the beauty of life; it is only through knowing ourselves that we know God. She was courage and love wrapped in sunshine and warmth. If you knew her, you loved her.
